Crazy Kennar Opens Up Losing His Son Days Before His Sold-Out Happy Country Show

Published

Renowned content creator Kennedy Odhiambo, popularly known as Crazy Kennar, recently shared a heart-wrenching revelation about the loss of his son just four days before his scheduled Happy Country show last Saturday.

In a poignant video circulating online, Kennar appeared visibly shaken as he opened up about the immense difficulty he faced in dealing with such a tragic event while simultaneously preparing for his stand-up show.

“I have gone through one of the hardest things. I was supposed to come here as a father, but unfortunately, my son passed away four days ago. It has been an incredibly tough journey for me because we had to navigate through that pain and, at the same time, put on the show,” he expressed with deep emotion.

Despite the overwhelming grief, the 24-year-old comedian urged the audience to extend compassion and support to one another.

“Whenever you see someone walking and they are smiling, just go and ask them if they are okay. Let’s be our brother’s and sister’s keepers and love one another,” he emphasized, highlighting the importance of empathy and solidarity in difficult times.

In a remarkable display of resilience, Kennar delivered an outstanding performance at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC). The event drew a notable crowd and featured skits by celebrities, including Bien-Aime Baraza from Sauti Sol and Jacky Vicke (Awinja).

This heartbreaking revelation comes in the wake of Kennar’s prior advocacy for mental health. In July 2023, he took to social media to share a cryptic message: ‘Depression is real,’ hinting at a possible fallout with his crew, ‘Content Cartel.’

Kennar’s ability to turn personal tragedy into a powerful message of compassion and his commitment to raising awareness about mental health continue to resonate with fans and fellow artists alike.
