Blankets & Wine Unveil Stellar Line-Up For Grand Finale

Blankets and Wine, Kenya’s premier festival, has just unveiled an electrifying lineup for its grand finale of 2023, scheduled for December 17. Building on the success of its three earlier editions this year, the event promises to be a spectacular close to the year.

The star-studded bill includes Sauti Sol’s Bien, emerging Neo-soul sensation Njerae, rapper Mandy, ‘Mwaki’ hitmaker Sofiya Nzau, boy group Watendawili, Blankets CEO and renowned musician Muthoni the Drummer Queen, and Congolese maestro Mbilia Bel.

Fans are buzzing with excitement as Nairobi gears up for a show that is sure to captivate audiences during the festive season. Muthoni the Drummer Queen expressed, “The lineup embodies the spirit of Blankets & Wine, fusing tradition and innovation. The artists promise a day and night of musical diversity, celebrating the richness of the African music landscape.”

Dubbed Kenyan Summer III, the December edition aims to elevate the festival to new heights, featuring a diverse lineup that celebrates the tapestry of African music. The enchanting venue opens its gates at midday, promising an immersive experience for attendees.

This marks the culmination of a historic year for Blankets and Wine, with successful editions in April, July, and October. Notable performers from earlier events include Suzanna Owiyo, Wangechi, Nameless, Lisa Oduor, and Bensoul.

After a hiatus due to the challenges posed by Covid-19, Blankets and Wine made a triumphant comeback in December 2022, solidifying its place as a landmark event in the African entertainment scene.
