Forest hit rock bottom after defeat to Leicester

Forest suffered their fifth consecutive defeat in the premier league.

Leicester City moved off the bottom of the Premier League table with an emphatic 4-0 thrashing of Nottingham Forest on Monday. The defeat leaves their East Midlands rivals bottom of the premier league table.

Maddison was outstanding in the match, opening the scoring after 25 minutes of play. In a span of 10 minutes Leicester extended its lead to 3 goals. Harvey Barnes was on the score sheet for the second before maddison whistled in a fine free kick from 25 yards that went past Henderson, Forest goalkeeper.

Patson Daka netted in the second half to seal the home side victory.This was the first win for manager Brendan Rodgers and it gives him breathing space as pressure was mounting on him on the recent not so good performance by his side.

This in turn has left Steve Cooper on the edge of a knife with his managerial job is on the line. Forest made 21 new signings this summer after securing promotion from championship for the first time since 1999.

Nottingham Forest woes continue as this was their fifth consecutive defeat in the premier league 2022/23 campaign leaving them bottom of the table with only just 4 points.
