English premier league returned this previous weekend with a host of matches taking place. The much anticipated Manchester derby took place in Manchester, United Kingdom.

The game week 9 matches began on Saturday, with a North London derby, between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs in with the former extended their lead in the table with a comfortable 3-1 win over their bitter rivals.

Goals by Thomas party, Gabriel Jesus and Granit xhaka sealed the victory for Arsenal in a match that saw Emerson Royal, Spurs defender sent off for a late tackle on Martinelli. Harry Kane pulled one back for the visitors but it was not enough to see then earn a point.

24 hours later, Manchester city and Manchester United took their rivalry to Etihad Stadium to showcase their prowess.After 90 minutes of play, there was no doubt that the city of Manchester would be painted blue after City won 6-3.

Highlight of the match was a double hatrick from phil Foden and the newly acquired kid, Erling Haaland. The latter made history by becoming the first player in the history of Manchester city and the premier league at large by scoring three consecutive Home hatricks.

In other matches Liverpool held Brighton to a 3-3 draw at Anfield while Chelsea came from behind to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park stadium. Below are the Game week 9 results that excludesLeicester City vs Notingham Forest not yet played.
